Realise the benefits of Digital Asset Management

Centralise file storage

We ensure that the storage of your files is centralised and allows for better management.

Promote asset reuse

By storing your content in a centralised DAM solution you can promote greater awareness of content across local markets reducing cost of similar campaign assets.

Connect to your content

We recognise that file storage is more than just a central repository. Whether you're storing your work in progress files, photography or product images they integrate into your business processes for MWM or promotion management.

What is Digital Asset Management?

A Digital Asset Management (DAM) system is a software application that helps organisations manage digital assets such as images, videos, and documents. A DAM typically includes features such as a central respiratory, version control, and metadata management.

What are the benefits of a Digital Asset Management system?

The benefits of a DAM system include some of the following:

  • Serves as a centralised file storage system, making asset management easier
  • Improves inter-team collaboration by automating asset creation and distribution workflows
  • Controls access while balancing asset security
  • Easy integration with third-party applications
  • Provides insight into asset utilisation
  • Facilitates customer retention and business expansion

What is the difference between PIM and DAM?

Product Information Management (PIM) is a software application that helps organisations manage product information such as product descriptions, pricing, and availability. Digital Asset Management (DAM) is a software application that helps organisations manage digital assets such as images, videos, and documents.

What content is normally stored in a Digital Asset Management system?

Organisations that use digital asset management often store images, videos and other documents

What types of files are supported in Encodify DAM?

We support uploading all file types, but not all will generate a preview. Those supported are as follows:

  1. Video: AVI, F4V, FLV, MOV, MPG, MP4, OGV, WEBM, WMV, MXF
  2. Images: JPG, GIF, PNG, PDF, PS, TIF, PSD, BMP, EPS, AI, ARW, CR2, NEF, DCR, CRW, DNG, MRW, ORF, PEF, RAF, X3F, 3FR, FF
  3. Office: DOC, DOCX, PPT, PPTX, XLS, XLSX, VSD, VSDX
  4. Web: Zip, HTML, JSON link
  5. Audio: AAC, AU, MP3, AIFF, OGG, ASF, AIFC, WAV, MWM, M4A, AIF, AC3

Note: some formats cannot be previewed natively and need to be converted to an alternate format.

How does Encodify DAM differ from the market?

Many out-the-box DAM systems provide a fixed rigid structure. With Encodify DAM you can store the data how you want without issue. Often we find our customs want to create a clear separation from where they store their brand assets (e.g. logos) to where they want to store their creative content.

What is a Digital Cybrarian?

So you have decided you have a requirement to store your digital content within a DAM, and you are preparing to ingest your assets and data. How do you ensure your content remains organised and accessible? This is where the responsibilities of a digital cybrarian can help.  Also known as a digital librarian.
